Summary
Alienation, disquiet, and disillusionment—these are the sensations that accompany the unraveling of reality. The truth is not a single, comforting answer but a labyrinth of perceptions, layers that twist and fracture the mind. Some will retreat into isolation; others will lose themselves in the static of their thoughts. A few will find a strange solace, yet many will crumble under the weight of awareness. In the interconnected web we navigate, the lines between the virtual and the real blur, and meaning becomes elusive. Everything is connected, yet nothing is as it seems. What appears fractured may conceal hidden wholeness, but only those who question the fabric of existence may glimpse it. So, let go of certainty, embrace the unknown, and let the truth find you.

Summary
Dazai stumbles upon an interesting post while doing his paperwork (putting it off and letting Kunikida deal with it): a post from an anonymous individual on a message board that he heavily suspects is Gifted. What he doesn't know is that he's uncovered one of the deepest rabbit holes he's ever come across. A Gifted girl is just the beginning: the investigation spirals into uncovering children that never officially existed, government projects that even high-ranking officials don't know about, and a mysterious organization infiltrating every corner of a small neighborhood in suburban Shibuya all centering around a single girl.
What was KIDS? What's so important about Protocol 7? Most importantly, why is a girl named Lain Iwakura so important?
[CURRENTLY ON INDEFINITE HIATUS. Definitely returning at some point: keep your eyes peeled!]

Summary
Lain Iwakura sat quietly in the waiting room of the small little therapy practice, watching the clock tick by with the sort of idle curiosity that a cat had for the birds it was preparing to kill. In her head, she imagined pulling it off the wall, tearing it into tiny pieces with her hands and a screwdriver, and then leaving the scattered corpse of it as detritus for her new therapist to find, much like how her cat would leave the corpses of birds by her windowsill, trying to feed her animal parts. Lain didn't have the cat anymore. She didn't have much, a computer, a bedroll, a screwdriver, somehow by the grace of God a degree at a decently respectable university... and that was about the extent of it. Her family "existed" around her, but she couldn't really consider herself connected to them in any real fashion.
Today was her first day at therapy. She was scared.
