Summary
Terrified of a mysterious beast in the wilderness nearby, a party of miners attempts to track down the beast, only for the mech at their head-- Terminus-- to go missing. Megatron and Impactor are the only ones brave enough to search for him, whether alive or dead.
However, the terrifying, angry beast they find ends up being more mysterious than either of them could have imagined. Still an idealistic pacifist at heart, Megatron must do his best to reason with the beast and discover the haunted mech beneath the monstrous exterior.

Beauty and the Beast but with (mech) IDW MegOP. Beast OP, Beauty Megatron, with heavy lore inspiration from IDW-- more like a BATB plot within IDW1's setting rather than a completely different BATB AU.

His array throbbed and he focused on his ventilations until joined him in the hall and they resumed the walk back to their dorm. He just had to last until everyone else went to berth. Then he could go and find an empty waste station...

Poetry.
Or: Four and a half million years ago, a bounty hunter from the Dead End met a miner who fancied himself a poet, and that alone changed everything.
