    Logan knows he was made for nothing but war. He never went to school. He never even took care of many children. Not even his own children. He certainly isn't qualified to teach anything that didn't involve the shedding of blood.

    Xavier saved him. The X-men saved him. Not only from himself but in so many ways than he can explain.

    Taking care of these kids is not going to fix anything. Or clean his hands, not even a bit, he's aware of that. But if there's a chance that he can do something right, better than anything he ever did, to help these kids have a better chance than he did. Then he's going for it.

    Daken Akihiro is known to be a lot of things. Murderer, power hungry, overall asshole, you name it.

    Sometimes he was decent, but most of those few rare occasions tended to be around his sisters, Laura and Gabby Kinney. Otherwise, you were more likely to either be manipulated, or stabbed, one way or another.

    So, what's the one way to make the calm, Dark Wolverine pissed off the most beyond all imagination?

    Whelp, AIM found a way, through possibly the cutest, and pain-inducing, ways imaginable.

    The Fluff AU is an alternate timeline, spanning from post Days of Future Past XMCU to the modern day. Sean survives and escapes from Trask and is living in Greenwich Village in New York where he reconnects with Alex and they end up living together. Later Scott is found and reconnects with Alex (still the 70's) and the Institute starts up with Scott, Warren, and Jean as it's first students. It's a large amount of fluff, but shit still happens.

    The series began as a response to Daken's death in Remender's "Uncanny X-Force" but has now reached a larger scope and will develop into a full AU.
    The works focus on his relationship with Romulus and how it molded him, but try to explore other relationships as well.
    WARNING for implied/sometimes shown child sexual abuse.
    THIS SERIES DEPICTS RAPE AND CHILD ABUSE. It's pretty graphic. Some survivors reached out to tell me this series helped them; other survivors reached out to tell me this series made them relapse.       Daken-centric, long series. Deals with heavy topics (particularly sexual assault & abuse), but has many surprisingly sweet moments. Quentin is also surprisingly good in this (surprising both himself and the author). Raze is the cutest, and Maiko is a close second.
      Very well-written, great Daken characterization. WILL cut out your heart and burn it tho. But in a good way.
