Tighnari is spying Kaveh in the bushes, looking at what he is doing in the middle of the forest and what he sees, shocks him to the core.
Kaveh takes a palm size leaf and heats up on top of the fire, not too near and not too far as what he needs is just softening the leaf. After he checks the leaf's softness a few times, he begin to nibbles it. Little by little until it's gone from his hands, and he begin to do it again with the next leaf. He raise up his mug and drink between the 'meal'. Mehrak floating by his side is just beebing in concern but his owner pretends like he didn't hear a thing.
This is what Kaveh been doing all this time? Not a project, but eating leaves?

Summary
What constitutes a fairytale?
Many would offer the basic answers: a hero who slays a monster to save a damsel in distress, or goes on a journey full of the strange and fantastical.
To Kaveh, a fairytale meant peace, quiet, and being able to work with zero issues. To him, a fairytale was romance, magic and wonder given form.
To Alhaitham, fairytales were not real. After all, what was so strange and mystical about a land that already had magic and monsters to begin with? Fairytales, to him, only had merit if they were proven to have been true.
That's why, to him, their mundane life together in this small Atelier in the countryside was already more than enough. If he could call it that, this was his fairytale.

Kaveh punches him weakly, a rare act from the architect, who treasures his hands like a family heirloom. Yet Alhaitham makes no motion to move.
“Fine! I’ll say what you want to hear and then you’ll have to go, alright? You were—you were right. I shouldn’t have designed the Palace of Alchazarzaray. I should have rejected the more unreasonable clients.”
His breath hitches uncontrollably and there’s something damp on his cheek. Is it the rain? He tries to check, but his limbs feel unresponsive. He sees Alhaitham’s lips move slowly, and time seems to stop before everything turns dark.
At least he doesn’t have to hear Alhaitham’s gloating words.
