**Rewrite of my old unfinished/dropped fic (Memories of Fate) w/ different story and character development**
After a lifetime of abuse and a cursed existence of losing everything she gets close to, Lena makes the worst decision possible: To exit stage left in her short existence on Earth for good. But instead of the sweet bliss of silence she expects, she awakens unharmed in a loud place of mountainous steel and suffocating air. A place of familiarity she doesn't quite recognize called Midgar. Now with her memories of this world a fragmented mess, Lena realizes she has a second chance at life to forge her own path and rediscover herself alongside those her fate becomes intertwined with.
From a crazy evil scientist, to gray apparitions that attempt to swallow her soul and drag her to a fate far worse than death itself, Lena must first learn how to survive in this land hellbent on destroying her at every turn.
Especially if she wants to discover why she was brought here to begin with.--
