Kanade laughed, watching Shiho’s cheeks turn a light shade of pink at the pet name. The composer placed her hand against the other’s cheek, only smiling fondly as the other mirrored the action with great care.
The gentleness never failed to make her smile, her soul always felt as if it had ascended, or as if it were ten times lighter than before when Shiho held or touched her. It was a sappy thought, one she knew Shiho would laugh at had she voiced, claiming it was cheesy. Kanade didn’t mind, she didn’t mind if the words of affection came across that way. It was how she felt- and she knew Shiho wouldn’t mind the poor attempts at flustering her.
