On the plus side, at least she gains new friends, including one she starts to fall for.

She followed his gaze to the Diamond, watched how stiff her body moved as her hand gripped the handle of her sword tightly, and how her hair swished in the air as her head moved side to side, watching the surroundings diligently.
She thought of everything she'd learned about the Diamond, about her ex; the things she should've been told earlier but hadn't, the weight it must've put on her to carry it around this whole time, the stiffness that certainly still persisted in her body after finally sharing that burden, like a soreness that remained after exertion.
She knew Pink must've been feeling a lot, and she couldn't help but be both amazed and worried at the way little of it seemed to show.
