Johnny grips his handrims tightly and scoffs. It’s a joke, he thinks, that his only love in life is the most inaccessible sport ever, and his father thinks that this cartoonishly handsome man will inspire him to take it up again after the absolute nightmare of a time he’s had of it recently.
“No,” he responds, raising an eyebrow. “That’s the other guy in the wheelchair here.” If anything, Gyro seems to grin wider.
“That is good,” he says. “Hopefully my real client won’t expect to ride in pajamas.”
Oh, Johnny thinks. This is going to be really good or really, really bad.
Or, George hires Gyro, a paralympic equestrian coach, to teach Johnny how to ride again. It doesn't go according to plan... or maybe it does.
