Summary
A textual ghost is a character who is canonical, because they have relatives who show up in the story at hand, but who have never been named; the term is usually applied to someone’s nameless parents or spouse or siblings in genealogical tables like some fandoms with a sprawling history possess. Obviously, this series is meant to collect fics of mine where textual ghosts have played a part or are referenced in such a way as for the reader to gain insight into their character. For the purposes of this series, I define a textual ghost a bit more broadly than the above definition; I also include characters who might have existed, spouses or children or siblings who might have existed.
Most of the fics in this series will be for Tolkien, as the Tolkien canon has by far the largest number of textual ghosts (numbering in the hundreds) that I’ve encountered, but there will be other fandoms here as well.

Summary
"Galadriel was the greatest of the Noldor, except Fëanor maybe, though she was wiser than he, and her wisdom increased with the long years. Her mother-name was Nerwen ("man-maiden"), and she grew to be tall beyond the measure even of the women of the Noldor; she was strong of body, mind, and will, a match for both the loremasters and the athletes of the Eldar in the days of their youth. Even among the Eldar she was accounted beautiful, and her hair was held a marvel unmatched." - Unfinished Tales, The History of Galadriel and Celeborn
This is the story of Artanis Nerwen, later known as Galadriel. The story of how she left, and how she came back, and all that happened in between.
(Nolde - a female Noldo.)

Summary
A collection of stories from the perspective of various Exiles of the Eldar, starting just after Alqualondë. This is slightly AUish, as I'm adding details here and there, but events will still follow the same path. I'm making the dark twisty story darker and twistier.
You don't have to read them all or in order, but it's important to understand that in the first story, Fëanor cuts off all of Artanis's hair as punishment for her fighting against him at Alqualondë. Basically, this sets the tone for everything to follow.

Summary
Nay, even to think of him as Nóm within these vaulted passages felt somehow disjointed and strange. Nóm was the familiar companion of woods and fields—somber and fay, merry and quiet—a comfortable spirit who sat smiling beside Balan’s hearth. Here he was a formidable presence. Balan was breathless as he watched him from the corner of his eye. He knew not even how to name him.
Finrod and Bëor arrive in Nargothrond and navigate what this new context means for each of them.
