Stan wouldn't listen to Jimmy no matter how many times he told him he shouldn't leave out water for the stray animals outside the apartments. He always had a cheerful smile on his face as he did it, too, not even realizing it was fucking poison he was trying to feed those poor animals.
A different version of 'Stan and Jimmy Make Amends to that Poor Dog', where Stan isn't toxic to Jimmy, and it's clear they both have things to make amends for these poor animals.

Summary
Drip drip drop, the water goes, a soft tune trying to quell his raging mind. It fails.
The hair on the back of his neck raises, metaphorical hackles following as his exhaustion miraculously evaporates from the familiar feeling burning through his skin. His green eyes immediately catch the source, too panicked to properly mask his staring as he catches a glimpse.
A newsboy's cap glares at him beyond the threshold of the shop, waiting, stalking, stalling. He watches, and it watches back. It feels like an eternity, his gaze unable to move from the offending object slightly obscured by the water droplets clogging the window's glass. The eternity ends too soon, a pale hand moving to adjust it before turning to disappear. He watches as long as he could, the visage fading too quickly for his liking from his immediate vision. The rain was too perfect, covering the other's tracks.
Yuno realized, quite swiftly, that he hates that hat.

No, they both knew he wasn't the marrying type anyways, nor was he really deserving of any love like that. He was never going to take Amanda's spot because he could never replace her. The place Michael reserved for Trevor anyways was something far away from her role.
He was his best friend. And that title marked Trevor as someone Michael was ultimately always going to think of, whether that be fondly or with hate. It also marked him as just that. His best friend. So even if it would forever be T there standing besides him, it would never be in the way he wishes it was. It would never be him and that was the end of that, Trevor thought bitterly.
