“Anyway, you two will be home alone, so please don’t burn the house down,” Byakuya shot them a shaky smile, mostly joking, but the note of sincerity was hard to miss. Senku couldn’t really blame him, they’d come close a couple times. He nodded and smirked into his ramen.
“Gen, that goes for you, too,” Byakuya said in the sternest voice he could manage (which still just sounded like a request).
The young man beside Senku shot Byakuya a winning smile. “Dad, you know it’s not really me you have to worry about.”
After years of avoidance, Senku and Gen get a chance to get to know each other again.
