Nezuko has come to the startling realization that her marriage of 5 years is beyond broken. Divorced and in her early 20s, she's determined to find herself again. Reconnecting to her friends and processing repressed memories after your life blows up is a little harder than she thought it would be though. Especially when realizing you're in love with your best friend.
Genya has been trying his best to move past his unrequited feelings for his friend, and after 7 years of distance and slight heartbreak, he finally feels like he's moved past it. In the aftermath of his friend's life blowing up on her, he's there to help not only her through it, but himself. This newfound growth is hard, especially when realizing you never really got over being in love with your best friend.
In the end, they figure it out with some not-so gentle advice from their friends and family.
