克罗利在和阿兹拉斐尔分道扬镳之后，开车跑到曾经认识的看守天使——萨姆亚撒（Semyaza）和阿撒泻勒（Azazel）在末日后同住的公寓里（“以爱之名的焚烧与重生”中登场过的二人）。他向两个看守天使讲述了梅特隆（Metratron）说服阿兹拉斐尔成为天使的计划，两位看守天使因为和梅特隆——曾经是人类先知以诺（Enoch）——过去的历史而决定帮助克罗利追回阿兹拉斐尔。另一方面，阿兹拉斐尔和梅特隆去面圣的时候，天主实在坐不住而亲自露了个脸。而祂终于决定大驾光临之后所说的话让大家都大吃一惊。
