Probably to get ready. To pick out something attractive and comfortable to wear, something JT would gladly divest him of after dinner. To check on his bird and buy a bottle of fine wine and then go on over to JT’s house to offer Tally help with food. It’s almost as difficult to focus as if he’d stuck around.
