Summary
“Hm.” At the mention of Data, Worf shifted, and his expression hardened almost imperceptibly. Geordi was getting more confused by the second. “Do you ever read poetry, Geordi?”
“Poetry?” Geordi repeated. “Uh… no, I don’t, really. Never found a poet that really compelled me. I prefer something with a big, long plot, that I can really get invested in, you know?”
“I see.” Worf straightened, still avoiding Geordi’s eyes—no, not his eyes. Worf was looking at his face, but it was everywhere else that he was deliberately averting his gaze from. Geordi suddenly remembered that he was shirtless—is Worf… flustered? “I apologise for disturbing you, Lieu—Geordi. Forget I asked. Excuse me.”
And then, without another word, Worf turned and retreated, leaving Geordi thoroughly baffled.

Summary
Worf didn’t sit back down—instead, he walked slowly towards Geordi. “La Forge—Geordi,” he said slowly. “Are you alright?” Geordi met his gaze and he seemed genuinely concerned.
“If I’m being honest, no, not really,” Geordi replied, and forming the sentence was almost a struggle. “This was my away mission, Worf. I was supposed to be the leader, I was supposed to make sure everything went right—and now four men are dead, we’re stuck here, and this stupid electrical interference is messing with my VISOR, so no, I am absolutely not ‘alright’.” He made air quotes around the word. “You know what they say: when it rains, it pours.” Breathing had suddenly become much more difficult; Geordi fought for his next inhale. “Fuck, Worf. Why did it have to be—why did it have to be me?”
“Geordi—”
“Sit down. Sit down, right now, next to me, Worf, please.” Geordi gestured vaguely to the spot on the log he wanted Worf to occupy. “I know this is going to sound weird. I know”—he was actively struggling now, hands gripping his knees so hard he could see his bones—“but I need you to hold me."

Summary
“I don’t want to. I hate this shirt, anyway. It doesn’t look good on me.” Geordi tugged at it with his free hand—it was uncomfortable, too.
Worf turned, tugging Geordi along with him. “As you wish,” he replied. “Who told you that it looked bad?”
“You did.”
“I would never insult you,” said Worf, sounding affronted.
Geordi grinned. “You weren’t insulting me, you were insulting the shirt. I mean, I wouldn’t know, but I’ve heard that it’s a really disgusting shade of green,” he teased.
Worf was silent for a moment. “It is.”
