Summary
Terence was terrified. The prince’s screams went on and on. What were they doing to him? He chewed on his fingernail, feeling lost and helpless. Tears welled in his eyes and he angrily wiped them away. The Lady Dionysia had bid him to look after her son and he’d already failed her. The fact that he was but a boy of twelve and asked the impossible didn’t even occur to him.

Summary
Trying something new where I embody not only a character from a first-person point of view, but also writing as if from a scholarly/historian's perspective within the world of Valisthea centuries after the events of the game proper. I find the characters and the world of Final Fantasy XVI to just be endlessly fascinating and full of potential (even if that potential wasn't always reached in game...) Cidolfus Telamon, played to perfection by Ralph Ineson, is by far the best Cid in all the Final Fantasies that I've played, and he just radiates "bisexual dad" vibes. So, in my headcanon, Cid is just that: a bisexual dad, who absolutely gets around. Not to mention Cid is undeniably charismatic and devilishly mysterious, so I wanted to explore a large part of his history - a history we never got to learn over the course of the game narrative. My goal is to accurately and believably portray these characters and to show nuanced and loving relationships, with all the complexity that love, and Cid just carry innately. Always looking for constructive feedback, more tags will be added as we go (because I'm bad at them), and I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Summary
Clive steadied himself with cane in hand, looking upon the man behind bars. His new prisoner seemed rather jovial.
“You have good reason to not seek the Archduke, don’t you? Are you a saboteur, a criminal?”
As the lord wondered about the intruder’s origins, the man was undisturbed.
“We’re all criminals, taking what doesn’t belong to us milord.” He offered Clive. “That’s why I’m here, to offer the purportedly nobler criminals a little hope.” The Marquess reflexively looked away in the man’s pontification.“I look at you, and all I see is someone who's hopelessly lost.”
A month after the emergence of Shiva, Clive and Joshua Rosfield are separated whilst dealing with the loss of their dear friend. As Valisthea pushes into a new war, a shattered Clive comes upon an odd man offering him hope... he struggles to trust it.
Sequel Story to "A Moment of Revelation" and Prequel to "A Moment of Solitude."

Summary
“Ah – that’ll be the boy!” Exclaimed the butcher, and she set about gathering up a box and making for the door.
Cid followed after warily. “’The boy’?”
She flashed him a grin. “Dog. Comes ‘round about this time every day – eats the scraps.”
She unlatched the door and stepped out into the afternoon air with Cid right on her heels. The man paused as soon as he laid eyes upon the beast.
“That’s not a dog - that’s a wolf.”
“Thought he might be a little big,” the butcher shrugged.--
Cid meets Torgal.

Summary
The brilliant mind and the fact that Cid had let her curse since she could talk (her first word had been ‘arse’), tended to make a lot of people forget that Midadol was just a kid, but not Gav. She was so tiny, the few flyaway hairs that stuck up from her head were just level with his chest. Skinny arms and even skinnier legs with knobby knees pumped furiously as she beelined toward him.
