Summary
It's Astarion's fifth winter in Waterdeep since marrying and moving in with Gale Dekarios. It's also the fifth year Gale has spent celebrating the day Old Carvas supposedly brought the first caravan to the city dressed up as him and distributing toys and gifts to Waterdhavian children. Astarion loves the quaint little ritual, loves that Gale enjoys bringing cheer to all who attend the festival, and wants to give something back to his love, to show how appreciated he is.
So it is the first year Astarion spends baking a loaf of banana bread for his husband to have when he gets home. It.....doesn't quite go according to plan, but at the end of the day, it's the thought behind a gift that really matters, isn't it?

Summary
Now that Astarion was watching him fumble his way through meeting several other guests at Jen's behest, all while constantly throwing him the saddest little glances, Astarion decided that he had dodged a bullet.
Yes.
Gale would have been a terrible date to this silly little event.
It's the night of the Rivington Public Library's annual fundraiser dinner, and though Astarion has come to enjoy his new, quiet life as a librarian, tonight has proven rather challenging... and it's all Gale's fault.

Summary
Astarion watched her from the shadows, his keen gaze catching the way her soft body moved as she worked, the little roll of her stomach when she leaned forward. She was so alive—warm, kind, and heartbreakingly unaware of her effect on others. Gale was seated nearby, seemingly focused on a book, but Astarion wasn’t fooled. The wizard’s eyes flicked to Tav often, lingering when she laughed softly at her own thoughts or tucked a stray lock of hair behind her ear as she worked.
It was intolerable, really. The way Gale looked at her—his Tav—as if she were some celestial object of study. And yet, Astarion couldn’t summon the venom he wanted to. After all, Gale wasn’t wrong. Tav was remarkable, and she wasn't his.. not yet.

“Who’s a pretty kitty? Where did you come from, hmm?” Karlach said in a sing-song voice, gently scratching Aster-the-cat under her chin.
“Oh, I think I have an idea…” Astarion said, looking pointedly at Gale. “Not just any ordinary cat, is she?” He smiled salaciously, his pointed fangs on full display. “Enjoy making her purr, Gale?”
(In which Gale is musing about sitting by the fire with Tara, and Aster has an idea involving Wild Shape)

“Time is what we want most, but what we use worst.” - William Penn
The story always ends when the heroes save the world from ruin, but this is the story of what our hero with no memory of her past does to build a life without the one she thought she’d build it with.
That is…until she comes face to face with him for the first time in a decade.
Will she shut him out again? Has she already set her sights on moving on with someone else? Or is maybe love just not for her anymore?
Only time will tell.

Summary
This is set during the epilogue of Baldur’s Gate 3, where Gale decides to stay a mortal so he can stay with Tav. They’re spending their first night relatively alone together, and with a real bed. Things get a little steamy for the first time. Also, modern plumbing exists in this world. I make the rules :) You don't have to read parts 1 and 2 to read this, but their situation (and jokes) will make more sense.
