The question rang out in Adrien’s head. “I was at a shoot.”
The detective lent back his chair. “That’s not what your photographer said.” He crossed his arms, glowering down at him. “He told us you never even bothered showing up.” The man’s eyes locked onto his own. His eyes were harsh and unyielding, actively scrutinizing Adrien’s story. “Lying won’t help you here, kid. Your dad confessed. Just tell us the truth, and we can cut you a deal. You’re young,” he pushed. “You don’t have to go down for your dad’s mistakes.”
Adrien’s heart pounded in his chest. He glanced at Ladybug across the table. He could practically see the gears turning in her head, trying to figure him out. Rubbing his palms together, the rattle of the cuffs dragged him out of his thoughts. “I’m telling you the truth.” His voice wavered, “I was at a shoot.”

Now he has to help his sister in secret, keep his secret, keep her secret, help spread sin and chaos for Roo, handle the bullies, get Adrien away from his sister, avoid falling in love with Chloe, get Marinette to fall in love with Luka, train with Carmen and Chase and, deal with Heaven being unfair. No big deal.
Until he meets Lila. When the girl threatens his sister the gloves come off and LIla finds out that her ticket to Hell has already been punched. Bastion just has to make sure she gets there. No one messes with his little sister...No one.
This takes place the day before the Origin's episode and a month after VILE is taken down.

After his father was exposed as Hawkmoth, Adrien Agreste fled the country, moving to the US. He never planned on returning to Paris. On returning to everything he had left behind, including Ladybug. When Adrien makes a decision that ultimately leads to his return, a new threat arises, one that will expose the past and bring buried secrets to light.

“I doubt it will take you and Adrien that long!” Tikki rushed to reassure. “Because you already know each other. Balance is about understanding your other half.”
“You think they understand each other right now?” Plagg asked.
“Hush!” Tikki scolded.

Every thousand years or so Tikki and Plagg switch bodies whenever there is an imblance between destruction and creation. Sometimes, on very rare occasions, that swap happens while they are transformed, and their holders get affected too.
