When last we left our heroes, the impossible happened; snow was falling in the zones. Told to enter the very city they had spent their lives running from, how will the Killjoys survive in the depths of Battery City?
In this installment of this Killjoys universe, we follow a few stories at a time. First, the Killjoys of course, and their experiences within the city. Also, who is the mysterious new CEO of Better Living Industries? And who is that too-perfect boy that always stands next to her? Meanwhile, a droid popstar's final tour unfolds... Outside the city, we follow the young zoner, York, who lives at the bottom of Dead Man's Drop with her adoptive mother and siblings. What will York do in the zones, with snow breaking the lift to the top and covering the only other way up?

"Kobra considers the situation carefully as he develops his plan of attack. (He is sitting on his floor mattress staring at his knees). He weighs his personal comfort against necessity and efficiency. (It's a couple hours after midnight and everyone is starting to get up so the cool dawn can be enjoyed until midday nap has to be taken.) Once Kobra figures out a plan that both accomplishes what it needs to and is slightly funny, he opens his mouth and starts screaming. (This is both efficient and hilarious.)"

Gerard leaned his head against Ray’s shoulder and sighed. The music continued playing, “Fine, but if something happens to you I’ll spend the rest of my life worrying.”
Ray giggled, “I know. But don’t linger on me if something happens.”
“Then move on if something happens to me,” Gerard said softly, hoping more than anything that in less than a couple years time the three of them will be gone and truly living. They’d be surrounded by colors and freedom and the excitement of truly living.
“I can’t promise that,” Ray leaned his head on top of Gerard’s, he placed his hand gently on top of Gerard’s, “I don’t think I’d ever be able to.”-
