Amidst all this madness, Yuma struggles to reunite with his friends. He tries to find worth and purpose in aiding the Resistance with their anti-establishment efforts. Kurane and her friends step up to help the trainee in his hour of need, but will it be enough to save Yuma from this new threat to public order...?

Summary
(Despite being a port to another Tumblr drabble (though not a request), this did take quite a bit to finish up. Mostly because this drabble was initially written to transition out from an RP between me and a friend and trying to get everything to flow without including her or her character was a little difficult.)
(This will probably be the end to the Yuma Pred/Yuma Blob Arc, but I'm not sure, it depends if any other ideas cross my mind.)

She doesn't react, hands on her knees as she struggles for air, shuddering and panting underneath the exhaustion, the consequences of her powers. For a moment, he thinks she didn't hear him. He lifts a hand, hesitant about reaching for her, but her voice, worn down and small, reaches him first, barely audible over the downpour of raindrops.
"Y-yes…" she huffs. Her eyes, partially obscured by light blue bangs, remain fixed shut. "Although I am a bit tired and my mind is a little hazy…"
A fresh spike of guilt stings his heart at her words, spreading to the rest of him. She shouldn't be here.
(Or: Fubuki and Yuma, drained and exhausted from the last 24 hours, prepare themselves to encounter Shachi and put an end to the bomb threat hanging over Kanai Ward.)
