Summary
An installment of the Crona's Bedtime Stories Series. A girl named Maka drifted too far into her dreams and fell into Wonderland. It is oppressed by an evil, snake queen, and, with the help of a snappy rabbit named Soul, Maka takes up the challenge to defeat Medusa. The challenges get worse with each step forward, begging the question if all dreams are truly worth saving.

Summary
“You poor child,” Lady Arachne utters into the silence, soft and collected. “Medusa didn’t love you one bit, did she?”
I flinch, even as her iron grip keeps me in place. I have nothing to say in defense. The unfairness of it all, being here, being asked such a question in the first place, chafes at my restraint. Even when I still served under Lady Medusa the words would’ve been difficult to argue. Right now it’s impossible.
Trembling— out of fear, out of anger, out of emotions I can’t even name— I ask, “Are you going to kill me?”
Lady Arachne’s other hand comes up to brush gently through my hair. Something flickers across her face, an emotion equal parts amused and awed, as if she can’t quite believe what she’s gotten her hands on. It’s quiet for a moment then, in this dark space where we’ve found each other.
“Now,” she finally says. “Why would I do a foolish thing like that?”
Or, Medusa begins her plans to revive the Kishin a year early, things go wrong, and that leaves Crona and Ragnarok to fend for themselves. They attempt to cobble together some sort of life.
And, as always, Lady Arachne is paying attention.
