And with that, the two left. Clown’s quiet, lighter, calculated steps accompanied by Mane’s bubbly, confident ones, slowly getting quieter as they walked down the hallway. Leaving muddy footprints for him, Bacon noted sourly. Bacon heard a crash from behind him but ignored it.
This was a fight, after all. But that didn’t mean it was any of his business. He staged an accident specifically so it wouldn’t be his business. And it had worked. Bacon was not letting his hard work go to waste. As for Mane, well, he wouldn’t be a problem. Bacon was confident in that. Mapic had stalked Bacon for six months, seeing if he reacted to anything auditory, before finally giving in. That wasn’t half the time Mapic had spent stalking Zam, though, so Bacon considered himself lucky.
He'd been doing this for six years. He knew how to act deaf. He knew how to make everyone ignore him. Mane would give up after a little bit just like the others and leave him alone. It wouldn’t be a problem.
Superhero AU where Bacon is a (supposedly) deaf janitor who can't use his powers and Mane is an annoying villain who does not believe believe him.

My Lifesteal and Unstable Universe oneshots
This is one of my first stories, so I'm really here to get some extra experience with writing. Therefore, I thought: Why not do it one of my most favorite fandoms?!
I hope I can update whenever I have to chance to. There's more information inside incase you want to give me writing tips or even requests.

Mane inhaled sharply, his knees knocking and trembling, sending him lurching into a pitiful limp. Everything seemed quite blurry, like someone had taken a paintbrush to a perfectly good canvas and smeared around the color, spattering random white dots wherever they pleased. Not even the sun was able to pierce through the haze he was currently living in, whisked away by his weakly swatting tail.
He wasn’t even quite sure where he was heading. Perhaps it was back to Woogie’s tower, to see if ClownPierce or Kaboodle still remained…or maybe it was just out into random wilderness that called and whispered to his sluggish brain.

Mane’s eyes widened just a fraction, and he leaned back on the stool he was seated on, watching as the torches slotted into the vibrant, layered clay of the walls flickered and cast shadows on Flame’s tall figure, illuminating the reds and oranges that accented his clothing. ManePear chose not to speak, letting Flame ruminate on the further syllables that were about to be spat upon him.
“You dropped TNT minecarts on me,” he exhaled sharply. His hands shook. One of Mane’s dark eyebrows rose at the vision before him, wondering how terribly the attempt had affected Flame.
“Yes,” the lion hybrid murmured under his breath, setting the sword he had been honing on the malleable ground under their feet. He folded his hands behind his head, soft fur of his mane tickling his forearms. “I did.”
