Summary
It’s been a month since Tommy walked out of Buck’s loft, out of his life, and Los Angeles is feeling less and less like home; but when bushfires in Australia leave the nation pleading for help from the USA, both Buck and Tommy are thrust right onto the fireline, and back into the other’s vicinity. Between the heat and the danger, tensions are running high; volatile words are thrown around like confetti, and love is realised a little past the due date. Sometimes, though, you have to fight for what you want; or you risk watching it burn to the ground.

Summary
Buck nudged a charred bag of gummies with his foot and whistled low. “Man, this place is like a stoner’s cathedral.”
They moved in deeper, tracing the fire to a storage room. There, nestled in a corner, was the culprit—a wall-mounted electrical panel.
Buck steadied himself against the doorframe. “Do you feel that?”
Eddie glanced at him. “Feel what?”
“I’m not sure,” he said, squinting at the ceiling. “The lights look... brighter? And the room feels... kind of stretchy?”
He blinked. Now that he had mentioned it, something did seem off. He frowned at the scorched plaster, his mind struggling to rationalize the way it seemed to ripple. Skeptical, he turned to Buck. “Are you serious right now? This isn’t…wait…why are the walls moving?”
Buck stared at him for a long moment.
“Oh no,” he ultimately gasped.
Eddie’s brow furrowed. “Oh no what?”
Buck’s face was the epitome of seriousness. “I think we just got hotboxed.”

Summary
Things at the 118 were very different with Gerrard now at the helm.
Bobby had listened. Led. Befriended. Drew every person in until they were a cohesive unit. A family.
But Gerrard was the exact opposite.
They had to find new ways of coping until this got resolved and Bobby was back with them where he belonged.

Feeling at home or in place wasn't something that came easy for Buck. Growing up, his parents rarely paid attention to him and his sister basically raised him.
Ever since he joined the 118, he finally felt what it was like to properly feel at home. To feel like he belonged somewhere. He had grown close to every member, and formed a familial bond with all of them.
What happens when he realizes the bond is stronger with one particular member of the team, but feels completely different than the rest of them? -

Summary
Eddie's back at the 118, but he's not working side-by-side with Buck right now. He's working with Hen, and Buck's having to work with Chimney. It started off okay, but Buck's abandonment issues are coming back with a vengeance. It also doesn't help that in Buck's opinion, the right "couch" has been none other than Edmundo Diaz all along. He thinks Eddie doesn't feel the same. Well, that's not exactly the case here...

Summary
But before he can ask he hears Chimney saying they’re out of time and yeah, Buck could have told them that. He hears them talking about lifting the truck off him and hope slips further away. Even though the pain and confusion he knows that the ladder truck weighs a solid 25 tonnes and it’s going to take a damn miracle to get it off him.
Tears leaking from his eyes, Buck pants and blurts out, “hey, Shan. If I don’t make it, can I stick around too. Haunt Eddie’s pretty ass with you,” when the first try to lift it off him fails.
(or, in my mind feels like a foreign land Buck does get crushed under the ladder truck and talks with Shannon, leaving Eddie to explain after they get to the hospital.)

“What was that about?” Eddie asks, as they push through the double doors and out into the parking lot.
Buck sighs, hating how his breath catches on the chilly air. “The kid back there,” he says. “She’s, uh. I think she’s being abused.”
(Buck bonds with a girl at the hospital. Things spiral from there.)
