Dash Gunfire is an… interesting man. A bit slow-witted, and not a perfect detective by any means, but he's still nice enough–maybe he should actually sit down and have a proper conversation with him. Get to know him better.

Fig’s voice makes him jump. “Golly biscuits, I can hear you from all the way over here! He’s gone home for Christmas, not been drafted for war!”

Summary
Once a peaceful tiny town, Hatchetfield has been squeezed for resources and terrorized by the notorious gang of robber barons known as the Lord's in Black. In their pursuit of wealth, the Lords in Black have terrorized and murdered several of Hatchetfield's citizens leaving them in fear and desolation.
In an act of fear, following a tragic shootout that kills several people, Jane Perkins sends a telegram to her sister, the notorious Emma "Doc" Perkins, a legendary gambler, gunfighter, and whip-smart woman, in hopes that she can aid their dying town and preserve what little they have left.
In returning to Hatchetfield, Emma finds the town is worse off than she imagined, and with the help of some old friends and new ones, including a nervous general store manager who doesn't care for musicals, she soon plans to show the Lords in Black that she's returned, and all hell followed with her.
