Summary
For years the princess has adored the stories of old. Tale after tale singing in her heart of the same formula.
The Hero, the Princess, the Beast.
And though she knows she will never have any true proof, Princess Zelda soon begins to fear she and her own friends fit that very fate she has dreamed of for years. In a fit of panic and planning, Zelda sparks war against Hyrule's allies and releases the great spirits, tearing through the world of magic and sending it all to hell.
Link, the Foglander soul smith and Gandondorf, youngest child of the Gerudo chieftess, are there to set the world right again, whether it be by saving the great sword spirits or by taking down their childhood friend. But than again, to her credit, Zelda has stopped her hated formula and instead sparked a new one.

Why do the Hero's Spirit endure as it does?
Who is Link, beneath his Hylian skin?Not many can remember why the Yiga was excommunicated and exiled from all of Hyrule, including their own clan, the Sheikah. Rumor that goes around was that the Royal Family of Hyrule was paranoid and feared the deadly potential of the Sheikah technology and thus banned it all, creating the Yiga Clan in the process. No one said otherwise and so it became the only truth. But is it really? If so, why did the Hero failed appearing in their hour of greatest need? Hyrule sought out the missing Hero and the equally missing Master Sword only to come up with nothing. All hope now lies on the shoulder of the still powerless Princess Zelda...until the Sheikah discovered the Shrine of Resurrection.
Who sleeps within? Who was resurrected? Who comes out of the shrine? Is it really the Hero...or something worse than the Calamity?

That ends when someone finds him and retrieves him later from his only family he's known his entire life.

It was said the hero, Link, had risen like a phoenix from the ashes of a small village bordering the ocean, driven to avenge his loved ones and save the lands from the blight that plagued it. Yona, who was friends with the Champion, often spoke of him fondly, and his valiant rescue of her Domain against the blight that had threatened to take it over.
Now, decades after his victory, the champion has been summoned to Prince Sidon’s Domain, to attend the wedding of Princess Mipha and Princess Yona, and Sidon awaits his arrival with breathless anticipation. Yet, what he does not expect, is for a small golden zora to arrive in place of a hylian, and for his entire understanding of the legend of the hero to be thrown asunder.

Everyone who met the Hero could say that they remember it precisely. Revali was no different.
Hylia's Chosen was rarely seen by anyone other than priests. According to rumors, he lived tucked away in the Temple of Time, guarded only by the Kingdom's best. Those who have been able to catch a glimpse of him say that he is robed in green, and that his face is always covered by a veil. No one really knows what he looks like.
The Hero is regarded as somewhat of a deity among many, especially Hylians. The legends surrounding him ran deep and far back. The few Hylian villages that Revali had been to had left out offerings in clay pots. For the Hero, they'd told him, A tradition that's said to aid Him in His quests, may Hylia watch over Him.
If the rumors were to be believed, the Hero is reborn again and again whenever he was needed, with a piece of the Triforce tied to his soul. Supposedly, he was the only one with the power to defeat Calamity Ganon.
Revali thought it was a load of bullshit.
