Summary
Stede nodded as Jeffrey talked. “So, he left me something?” he asked.
“Actually, he left you all he had,” said Jeffrey.
Stede gasped. “Everything?”
“Yes. Well, everything for him wasn’t much,” Jeffrey said in an attempt to not get Stede’s hopes up too high. “Well, would you like to know what you’ve inherited?”
“Sure,” said Stede. “Lay it on me.”
“Congratulations, Stede. You’re now the proud owner of your very own farm!”
OR
Stede inherits a farm from his grandfather, moves to the farm, makes friends, and falls in love. A Stardew Valley AU.

Summary
Ed’s on his way home from town — taking the scenic route because it’s been a long day and it’s pretty clear he’s going to sleep all of tomorrow away — when he’s stopped by about ten cows meandering down the backroad he’s on. They take up all of the pavement and most of the grass on either side. Ed dismounts from his bike, looks first at the cows — useless fuckers — and then around them.
He nearly busts a gut laughing when the whole story starts to unfold.
Behind the herd is a man. He’s doing Jesus arms down the middle of the road, a pretty yellow robe draped over broad shoulders and loosely tied around his waist. Ed takes a moment to appreciate his chest, which is pale and plush and probably would give like a perfectly cooked steak if bitten. Ed grins to himself, imagining.
He’s just a soft, handsome, square of a man. And he’s clearly got no fucking clue what he’s doing.

Summary
Ed’s blood courses through him like waves surging against rocks in a storm, crashing inside his veins.
It’s barely anything, but Ed’s still vibrating when the customer takes his little paper bag of honey sticks and leaves. Stede’s hand lands on Ed’s bare wrist, and he jumps, an electric jolt shocking through him.
“Ed?” Stede asks. “I didn’t mean—”
“I know you didn’t,” Ed all but snarls, a bass-deepness that erupts from his chest. Stede flushes all over, a pleased, hot kind of heat that scorches him in visible splotches. “Doesn’t mean he fucking didn’t.”

Summary
“Tell you what,” Ed says, tucking a couple of stray curls back behind her ears. “Go get yourself dressed for the morning. You can help me with the horses, then you can help with the chickens and the cows after that, how’s that sound?”
“Goats!” Juno adds.
“And the goats,” he amends. “Sound good?”
Juno considers this, then says, “Okay!”
“Good girl,” he says, then strokes her hair back, cupping her head between his hands when he leans in to smack a kiss to the center of her forehead. She giggles, then throws her arms up, wrapping them around Ed’s neck.
