In the dimly lit room, Roman sat alone, surrounded by the echoes of his silent suffering. He was curled up in a ball on the floor, his back to the wall. His usually bright room had dimmed to match his mood.
All he wanted to do was cry.
He knew he probably should. With all the stress he was under, he should at least be able to force a few tears out to make himself feel better, to justify asking one of the others for help.
He just couldn’t. And he didn’t know why.

Summary
Virgil is the much beloved crown prince of the kingdom of Liotta.
He is also missing, vanished in the night.Logan is Prince Remus of Visalia's right hand man, representative from Raiki, and assassin. When a young man helps him and gets greviously wounded, he takes him back to the palace. The boy is the missing prince.
Remus is prince of Visalia, running the kingdom, which along with it's allies in Raiki are at war with the kingdom of Liotta. Virgil's kingdom. But the boy is hurt and scared, and, as they soon learn, not at all to blame.
Is everything falling apart, or is it simply all coming together?

Set in medieval/magical world and Thomas is King. Roman was born a simple peasant, but always dreamed of being a dashing prince. Since he doesn't have an ounce of royal blood in him the closest thing he can get to a prince is to become a Royal Knight, so he does and, eventually, becomes King Thomas' most trusted knight and close friend. One day while out wandering the woods Roman stumbles upon a suspicious looking man with yellow eyes and scales who compliments Roman, singing his praises and promising him all of his wildest hopes and dreams.
"You can be royal too, rule your very own kingdom."
"...I'll be a prince?"
