Summary
Buck’s doing fine.
Sure, his leg hurts, and every time he blinks he finds himself on Eddie’s couch, the realtor’s sizzling voice in the background, and it sends such a jolt across his spine that he has to hold onto the nearest wall. Sure, he hasn’t spoken to Christopher in what must have been months, his pillowcase still smells of Tommy, and hell, there are more than three dozens of oatmeal raisin cookies in his kitchen, and he fucking hates raisins. Then there is Maddie, pregnant again, walking towards the edge again, and the real cherry on top, now Eddie, asking him to bring some boxes on his way to help with packing and–
No. It's fine. Buck's doing just fine.

Summary
Evan Buckley has always had an overactive imagination. It's what everyone said, when they weren't trying to diagnose him with something or calling him an attention seeker. By the time he landed a job on the fire station 118 in Los Angeles, he had the art of ignoring strangeness down to a science. And then the universe laughed in Buck's face. Disappearing children, flying horses, giant human-eating dogs; LA had it all. Only no one else saw it.
_____
Or: Buck is sighted, Nico has a trickster spirit to catch, and the Greater Los Angeles County won't stop throwing supernatural issues right at the 118's face.Series

Summary
"Uh- But you- you don’t like olives man.” Buck replies.
“What? Yes I do, I like olives.”
“No, you don’t.”
“Yes I do?”
Buck knows his best friend. Buck knows Eddie, inside and out, he knows he is being overly hard on himself with the whole Chris situation, he knows Eddie has a secret sweet tooth, he knows he kind of regrets buying his big truck and prefers carpooling with Buck. And he knows Eddie absolutely does not like olives.
“Eddie, whenever we get pizza with olives you always take off the olives on your slices and put them on mine and you do the same thing when Bobby makes that Greek salad with olives. I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen you eat an olive.”
“Yeah, that’s because you love olives"
Or Buck bakes, learns something new about Eddie, thinks about olives way too much, and maybe learns something about himself in the process as well.
Vaguely based on the 8x07 Buck baking clip and the olive theories that never came to fruition in the episode.

Overwhelmed and isolated, he decides to leave Los Angeles for a fresh start in Austin, Texas. Meanwhile, the 118 struggles without Buck, realizing too late the depth of their mistakes. When a disaster brings the two teams together, old emotions resurface, forcing Buck and the 118 to confront their shared pain and seek forgiveness. Summary
When Buck was injected with the “Elixir” serum, his parents thought it would save their ailing son. Instead the elixir flowing through his blood saved the 118. Every time Death dared to step its foot on the floor mat of the 118’s door, there Buck stood with an open wound, withdrawing everything within him to heal them.
Which is why he should've questioned things, when his paper cut didn’t immediately heal within a second. He should’ve noticed the pain in his ribs didn't subside, after two days.
He should’ve taken note of all those changes because now Eddie is there lying on the ground, inches away from him and Buck keeps resting his own wounded palm over Eddie’s injury begging it to close, but it won’t. With a growing sense of fear, Buck realizes that perhaps there were more long-lasting effects of the lightning strike.
In order to save Eddie, he knows he’ll have to go back home to Hershey, to his unloving and unforgiving parents, and to that clinically despondent hospital that gave him the blessing/curse of Elixir.

Summary
The fog began to slip away, his mind regaining some bit of clarity.
He felt a hand on his uninjured shoulder, and the voice again, this time loud enough, or maybe just near enough, to cut through the ringing in his ears.
"Son? Can you hear me?"He didn't trust his voice not to sound as weak and feeble as before, with his teacher, so he gave a small nod and a quiet "mmhm" instead.
"Try not to move okay? I'm going to call 911."Buck remembers the day he got kicked out of college, crashed his bike, and left his parents house.
But turns out there was a bit more to it than he'd realized. -

Summary
Eventually, Eddie seems to get tired of dancing alone and gets up in Buck’s space. He pokes and pushes at him until he laughs and says, “What are we doing?”
“We’re being joyful,” Eddie responds with so much earnestness that Buck can’t bear to let him dance alone any longer. He practically cheers when Buck starts to move. If it would mean Eddie would be this happy always, Buck would dance until his feet fell off.
-
Post 8x06, Buck shows up at Eddie's house, they talk it out, have a dance party, and fall even more in love with each other.

Summary
Though he wasn’t really sure when he started hating his given name, he was pretty sure it had started around this time. His parents always said it like a curse, spit from their mouths as if the word itself was venom that they needed to get out as fast as they could; his teachers said it with annoyance coating the word, dripping from the edges of their mouths; his peers said it with a sneer, always accompanied by insults and punches.
The only person who ever said it with love was Maddie. But then, the times she said it were getting few and far between.
