Summary
Buck had always been told he was special. Well, he was told that by his Grandma- no one else seemed to really care he existed.
“You were kissed by an angel,” she would always say, “This mark shows how special you are. You are meant to do great things.”
He wasn’t sure that being special was a good thing. Everyone on his mom’s side of the family seemed to be special in the same way- they could all see ghosts. His mom pretended they couldn’t, but his grandma took him and Maddie under her wing to teach them everything she knew about the other side.

Summary
Being a medium and someone who can see the supernatural is weird. This was something that Buck has been able to do his whole life. Eddie hears him talking on a run to someone that is not there, he has to know more about this man. Is a fraud? Is he real?

Summary
And when they get to the hospital, and Shannon is suddenly in front of him, he knows.
“No,” He tells her, not caring about what he looks like, talking to someone no one else can see. He knows why she’s out here, flickering in the in-between, the awful smell of dirt and old air around them, and she can’t leave Chris, not again. “They’re going to be devastated. No, you can’t leave them, you can’t do that again.”

Summary
“I’m Eddie,” the stuck-up ghost replies, slowly. “Why aren’t you scared of seeing me?”
Buck tilts his head to the side, “you’re not very scaring.”
“I mean, you’re seeing a gh---you can see me and you’re not freaking out.”
Buck shrugs, “oh. It’s been twenty-six years of this, dude. It would be kind of pathetic if I flipped out every time. Trust me, you’ve been a very polite ghost.”
“What the fuck,” it’s what Eddie says.

Or: the 9-1-1 rewrite where Buck sees ghosts and Eddie is technically in a coma, but mostly he spends his time hauting the firetruck.

Summary
"Can you see my dad?"
Buck stills his expression into a more neutral one. He looks to the man towering behind Chris. He’s relatively tall and dressed in full army garb, complete with a headset, gloves, and binoculars attached to his camouflage green helmet. His arms are folded over his chest and he’s staring down Buck like he's an enemy soldier. "Yeah, buddy, I can."

Summary
Post-Lawsuit AU. Evan Buckley can see ghosts. It’s nowhere near as fun as it sounds, and he’s really getting tired of losing the people he loves.
X-Over with Chicago Fire/PD and Hawaii Five-0 characters (not tagged as it's very much a 9-1-1 fic).
Warning for MCD of non 9-1-1 characters (See tags).

Summary
Buck always believed it to be a curse. The whole being able to see and talk to ghosts thing. That was why his abilities went mostly ignored until there came a time when he actually needed them.

Summary
The first time Evan Buckley died, he was ten.
"Apparently that won me a ticket to ghost town, because I've been seeing them ever since."
Buck can see the recently dead. It's not as glamorous as people might think.
