Summary
Mitch can handle Silvers, sometimes even better than he can handle ordinary people. He can handle the Whisperers, who send him Dreams and tell him things. He'd be fine with them both, if they were the only things out there in the world that most other people can't see. The problem is, the Bad Ones also exist, and while some of them are stuck in place, others definitely aren't, and they're not something Mitch wants to run into anytime, anywhere--especially not in Scott and Mark's living room.

Summary
Mitch has never called them ghosts. They're the "Silver People" or, sometimes, the "Silvers" for short. He's seen and talked to them since he was a little kid, and the worst trouble they've ever caused is the occasional cold spot when oblivious living people just can't seem to find the right place to sit. Some Silvers he even loves in a way, like Charles, his nearly constant companion since he and Scott moved into their first L.A. apartment.
The problem is, the Silver People aren't the only things out there. He's seen entities ("entities," for God's sake!) that are grotesque, or creepy, or definitely not something he appreciates encountering in his bathroom in the dead of night. Worst of all, though, is one he hasn't come across in a long, long time, though it's fed his nightmares and haunted the edges of his awareness for nearly twenty years.
The last place he expects to meet it again is in Scott and Mark's living room.

Summary
A series of stand-alone scenes. Kevin is confused but he fully supports Scomiche. Avi comforts Mitch. Scott and Mitch navigate boundaries (and by navigate, I mean ignore). Kirstie, Esther, and Alex go with the flow. Mitch looks good in pink.

When you're writing, some scenes get cut before they're even finished. Some scenes never mature past ideas. Some ideas sit there, fully written and waiting to be published, but get deleted at the last second.
These are those scenes, from the Seven Levels Below universe. Basically what I'm saying is that this AU is cool and I find that I am unable to put it to rest. So if you're interested in reading, I demand you enjoy!

Summary
Sequel to Seven Levels Below--if you don't read that one first, this isn't going to make much sense!
There were fingers digging into his shoulders, trailing down his spine, smoothing over his warm skin. He sighed and relaxed into the touch for a few minutes before he cracked an eye open. He peered over his shoulder to where he could feel the weight of Scott sitting across his thighs.
"You gonna join me?" Mitch patted the side of the small bed.

Summary
The capital city of Asdria, from the lowest levels, is shockingly colorful. The neon signs lighting up almost every doorway in the dimness of the underworld sends sharp, fluorescent beams shimmering into the air. The hum of the city life and electric street lights cover the lack of bird cries and leaves rustling in the breeze. The light from the sun doesn't trickle down into the depths anymore, not with the steely skyscrapers packing the air and city blocks, trapping the lower levels in the early morning fog. The eighth and lowest level exudes an underlying stench of every activity that occurs on its streets, both legal and very much not. In the figurative heavens, the monarch's palace, located on the edge of the highest level, is so pristine and bright in the reflected pinks and oranges of the evening sunset that thought of the dangerous life occurring beneath it is laughable.

Summary
Scott's a little in love with the new air traffic controller at DFW, as much as he can be for someone he's never seen and who isn't even the right gender for him. She's always professional, but has a sense of fun, and her voice is warm and friendly whenever she's not overstressed. And when she is, or when someone fucks up, she's sassy and sometimes snarky as hell.
And okay, maybe it's not really love, but there's a definite girl crush happening, which only seems to grow the more he interacts with her. He's friendly and flirty and happily admires her from afar, and she's just as friendly in response, once she recognizes his voice.
But holy shit, he lives in fear of screwing up on her watch and having all that beautiful snark turned on him.

Killing a rival archmage is relatively easy; Mitch's father taught him that.
Killing a rival archmage he swore to Magic herself that he'd never harm?
Far. More. Difficult.
