Summary
The wise thing would be to send her away or ignore her, but a spark of curiosity woke in Nerdanel once more. Nerdanel took a deep breath. That curiosity had led her to where she was now, but she could no more ignore it than she had the first time. Bracing herself for what was to come, she opened the door.
Nerdanel spends most of her life in isolation, unwilling to face the reality of what her sons became. She refuses most visitors, but something about Celebrían sparks her curiosity. Celebrían brings news of both grief and joy in Middle Earth, and in time brings Nerdanel more than just news of her remaining family.

Summary
There was pride in Maglor’s smile – not the haughty kind, nor the kind that drove Feanor into the Oath. No, this was a soft pride, brimming and overflowing, and full of a promise of its own: acceptance, and love.
“Yes,” Maglor’s hands tapped a quiet rhythm. “And there is no craft worthier of you.”

Summary
Nerdanel receives comfort and healing from an unexpected source. Draws on content from Fourth Father, Enemies to Sons, and my 2018 Feanorian Week drabbles.
Written for the Silmarillion Writers Guild challenge of using the first line of the nearest thing - I opened a magazine and found: “When tragedy strikes home, we find moments of healing where we can - often in encounters with one another.”
