(Day 10 of Whumptober 2024: Blow to the Head)
Drabble Premise: After a mishap with the Dragon's Gate, Roy finds himself sent back into the past unable to get home due to a crazed druid abusing the Dragon's Gate for his own purposes. He's forced to hide his identity as to not damage the future any further, acting as a wandering tactician named Mark until he regains his strength. Too bad he couldn't stay away from his father if he wanted any chance to return home.

Summary
The Dragon's Gate, a legendary portal located on Dread Isle, is said to be the connection between worlds, traversable only by dragonkind. Such a portal has been a terrifying source of power for those with nefarious intentions, like the dark mage Nergal over twenty years ago.
However, when the scars of the Scouring still have yet to completely fade, and a world beyond Elibe is threatened by the consequences, the Dragon's Gate also offers incredible and unforeseen possibilities.
Such is the case for two young men, whose paths were never destined to cross. Finding partnership in one another, with both of their worlds on the line, they will prove that the course of history is never set in stone- and that even the oldest and deepest of wounds can still be healed.
