Staying here would mean Eiden would miss Kleinmas in Aster’s mansion with everyone. Eiden had gone through the trouble of sending invitations to every clan member, then asking in person anyway. And if Yakumo had had any doubts about *everyone* showing up, last year had proved him wrong.
Keeping Eiden here would be bliss and comfortable, and Eiden himself is suggesting they stay, if Yakumo isn’t feeling up to the small journey. By all means, the festive season has just had a wonderful turn in his favour.
But he can’t be that selfish with Eiden. Not like this, not now.
Not ever, maybe.

Summary
Waking up from a horrifying nightmare isn't something unusual for Yakumo. And tonight, a dream where he accidentally killed Eiden left him sleepless and anxious. He wants to seek Eiden's company for comfort, but the pleasure-filled noises coming from Eiden's bedroom change his mind. After all, he refuses to disturb Eiden's time with Quincy.
He's ready to spend the rest of the night in the kitchen, all cold and alone, cooking something or preparing meals for tomorrow. Hopefully working on something might distract him. But to his surprise, he's given a better outcome by Quincy and Eiden; to sleep together with them.
Yakumo can’t refuse it. He doesn’t want to.
