Summary
The Finch family was known to be cursed, Sven knew that when he married into the family. Did that mean he was going to let his kids or grandkids die? Fuck no. What if Sven had saved Molly on December 13th, 1947 instead of letting her die? Here's that story.
Some of the parts of this fic may not be correct medically or time-wise (ie, clothes of the time, gender roles, etc), but it's not the story's focus. (I will be adding wlw/mlm relationships. I won't be going into much detail about the homophobia of the time so assume that in this reality the world is a little more accepting. I will also be adding that the woman of the family have jobs so also assume gender roles of the time weren't the same in this au.)
(The graphic descriptions of violence tag is because I know there will be a lot of near death experiences in this fic, some more gorey than others.)

Edith, a 13 year old girl who is tired of life already, has to move to the United States because the doctor advised 'change of pace'. In her defence, it's not entirely her fault that she was raped and now pregnant with her Rapist's baby and has no choice but to give birth, so moving to a completely new country and leaving behind everything she knew back in India is pretty taxiing.
It doesn't help that she's now stuck with a very old grandmother Edie, a snotty older (nephew) cousin and a bunch of family Ghosts including her mother and two brothers and has to deal with bullying from the large boy in her class.

Edith has powers to see the dead and the Finches are (somewhat) tied to the giant house.
