Summary
Angrod and Aegnor woke up a century or so before the Rebellion. While they are both eager to avoid it from happening again, they had different approaches on how to achieve it. Aegnor, the calm and collected one, wants to make peace with that side of the family, while Angrod, the impulsive one, wants to cut it from the root. Too bad his brother is stopping him... though with the surprises they kept finding, perhaps it was a good idea. Not that he was ever saying that on his face.
Aegnor knew that he was going to suffer as he was forced to become his father´s helper in this whole wedding planning for Elenammë and Telpehalda, he just didn´t know it was going to be so much. He also discovered some things he would rather not know. He guessed he should get help... if only two of his brothers didn´t have the attention spawn of cocker spaniels... well, at least he was here to prevent Angrod from making too many big mistakes... who he was kidding, this was going to be a nightmare.

Summary
"From the day that Maeglin lost a mother at the hands of a father; lost that father at the hands of an uncle; lost, to his mind, all kin but her, it had been but a pretence and a balm for the yawning emptiness in his heart. And all that emptiness, he reserved for her."
On the escape from Gondolin, Idril tries to unravel her relationship with Maeglin.

Summary
Something out near the entrance to the bay caught his eye. It was a small, dark shape on the water, slowly growing larger. As it passed into Eldamar out of Belegaer, Eärendil felt his breath catch. “Elwing,” he said.
“I see it.” She leaned farther out of the window, as though those few inches might grant her a better look. She had one hand raised to shield her eyes from the sun’s glare. “It looks like—”
“Yes, but it can’t be.”

“When I was a boy and heard you turned on us for Morgoth, I thought you a coward”. Eärendil admitted, looking away from Maeglin. “But when I faced his evil myself, I am surprised you were even able to survive him”.
/
As a child, Eärendil hated Maeglin for betraying Gondolin to Morgoth. Since his kingdom fell, Eärendil regarded his cousin as weak for breaking under the torture of the Dark Lord. All changes however, when Eärendil faces Morgoth and his forces on the battlefield. Now, filled with nothing but sympathy for his cousin, he seeks him out in Valinor to mend what was broken.

Summary
Maglor had a long time to think about his crimes and repent. Now that he is out of the Halls, with family, he wants to enjoy the joys he had, including his son. But that also means that he had to share him. and he might have to face one of the people he will have to share him with sooner than he believed.
Maedhros wanted one thing the most when he got out of Mandos: to be able to reconnect with the baby that was ripped from him in such a horrible way. Unfortunately, this one still refuses to have anything to do with him. He has support, and his parents and brothers and husband... a new adition in the way too... but... will they ever be a family?

Summary
If she closes her eyes and lets her imagination take her, she can imagine they’re in Sirion once more, Idril and her golden-haired son, and that he’s stepped outside- gone to wash the dust from his hair, that hair that he was always so particular about- that he’ll be back any moment, smiling that crooked smile that he inherited from his father.
[Earendil chooses mortality. Idril, in the great tradition of her ancestors, chooses violence.]

Tuor wasn’t even pretending to be asleep when Itarillë came in and spoke, her voice stern and quiet in the tent’s darkness:
“Our son misses you.”
I miss him too, he thought helplessly.
