In the story, instead of Duchess waking to Thomas O’Malley singing, she wakes to the sound of a big cat with a hunchback carrying large fish and singing Hi-Ho. When he sees Duchess, he goes over and has a conversation with her, but when he learns she wishes to return to Paris, he offers her an alternative. Using his pheromones and special skills, he eventually convinces Duchess to join him as his feral queen. When the kittens get involved, the boys instantly prefer the feral life, but Marie wants to go back to madame. Luckily, Humpaws (the feral cat), with the help of Duchess convinces Marie to give the wild life a try. In the end, the cats are living in the jungles near San Pierre and everyone enjoys their new lives with all the other jungle cats.Series
