Yi Sang muses along. It'd be nice. A better world for all. For all of them. Everyone.
Dongbaek perks up, throwing her hands towards the night sky in one sweeping motion. "Now that would be perfect," she concludes with a hum. Then, the young woman pulls out a match from her pocket, striking it against the pavement before bringing the flame up to light a firework's fuse. "Funny, isn't it? Even when things seem hopeless, even when everything's dim, a little spark is all it takes to light up the world."
And there's the explosion of color that follows: a wide, staccato flash of scarlet and marigold against the sky. The initial burst then splinters in different directions, forming the rough shape of a flower in full bloom. For a moment, everything's illuminated in shades of red and yellow as the flame laps at the starless foundation. There's something about it that's as magical as when he was young.
Those eyes that reflect the same fireworks he remembers.
Yi Sang goes back to a memory.
