Seb had been forced to devise a “defuse the Ravenclaw” protocol for when that damn witch lost her shit. Which was a lot, quite frankly. It’d been going as well as one could hope. Destruction was down, and she was able to talk in coherent sentences in under an hour that didn’t involve threatening to Avada him.
So when against his better judgement he throws protocol out the window, he’s forced to face one of his own very private rules: Do not think about fucking the Ravenclaw.

"On my bedside table, I figured I shouldn't wear it to duel." His eyes locked on hers, mouth barely open—a silent scream of words unsaid. Pulled back into a forced smile. "It's, erm… you probably won't need to see Nurse Blainey, but it may scar."
Her blood dripped onto his skin under moonlight—skinny hairline drip against his flesh. She didn't feel any pain standing here with him.
That was the problem.
"Sebastian," she whispered. Drowning but clutching onto the waterfall's edge—the boundaries he'd built between them. His lines in the sand. "I thought we had our own lives to live?"
He stared back—a gentle nod amid chaos. "I know." Took his hand away, lips tight. Emotions swirling darkly behind those eyes, twisted but honest in their depth. "But I still worry about you, even so."
Snow began its descent. Flakes sticking to their hair. Mingling with the greasy slush beneath them.
