Keith is a 23 year old Detective living in New York with his 28 year old boyfriend Shiro, Gentle Shiro, that is one of Keiths favorite things about the tall man he wants to marry, and he is going to need that when a fateful accident occurs injuring Keith terribly, and with a long road of recovery, and mental exhaustion that what Keith will need, the gentle lovingness Shiro, the warm hugs and reassuring words when Keith reacts badly to new medication, or when Shiro stays up with him at night when he can't sleep. He longs for the times he could sit comfortably in the cozy living room apartment with the cat curled in his lap and watching Shiro study to make his dream a reality. They seemingly can't catch a break, but the two are always willing to help. They take a journey through hurt, pain, love, comfort, confusion, anger, fear, and belonging together.
