Summary
After a few minutes more, the humans turn towards Din, clutching each other as if afraid their partner will vanish. “Thank you, Mandalorian,” the man says, his voice breathless with relief.
“You saved our lives,” his partner echoes, the woman giving Din a weak smile.
The pair still shake with tension, but it is not the fight-or-flight strain of before. Instead, they look at him with… it’s not quite awe. Relief, perhaps. Nervousness, but Din would be more surprised if it wasn’t there. Still, something feels… off. Something is scratching at his mind as he looks at the two, some vague familiarity.
…
Or, on a distant planet, Din meets a strange pair of humans, familiar in a way he can barely remember. In the end, it’s not even Din that realizes who they are. After all, it's been decades since he last saw his parents alive.

Summary
An established part of my AU (a lot further ahead of where the writing is currently at!) is the accidental reunion of Din and his parents, after 39 years of thinking each other dead.
Here's some clips of the early days of their reunion, where they're trying to figure out how their relationship is going to work.
Aka:
Din's parents have stumbled back into their son's life, and in many ways, it's a dream come true. But, after 39 years of mourning the son they thought had died, finding someone with an established life, a wife and son, and a complicated medical history, navigating a relationship with him comes with its challenges.
AKA:
Din's parents are back. It's something he spent years dreaming about when he was growing up in the covert, but, believing himself to be an orphan, he'd never actually expected it to happen. But it has. He's happy, but sometimes, well, this whole reunion thing seems a lot more difficult than it should be...

Summary
“First, let’s get you comfortable with handling it at the lowest power.”
The screw clicked into its lowest setting, and almost nothing was left of the laser sword, only a faint beam that produced a tiny green spot on the wall when the Jedi directed it across the room. He twirled the hilt in his hand, made the spot dance on the wall, and Din could no longer just watch it. Before his brain could fully catch up, his limbs were already moving, and he was up and running to the wall, lunging forward to throw his hands on the green spot.
Except that the spot was no longer there. Skywalker had moved it a little to the side. As soon as Din’s eyes found it through his visor, he threw his body to its direction, hands on where the green fleck of light had been before the Jedi moved it again. This time, before Din could catch it, it switched off. He whipped around to face Skywalker and Grogu. Both the grown up and the little Jedi were staring at him with their mouths agape.
“You… You’re a tooka hybrid!” Skywalker gasped.
“I’m NOT.”
“No other humanoid would so convulsively chase a laser beam.”

Summary
“I think there’s something I can do to help him. A technique I could try.” Luke says. “I could use your help.”
“What do you need?” Din says. Anything, he thinks. Anything.
“I think he would be more open to the process if you do it as well.” Luke’s eyes, keen and ever-blue, that have the impossible ability to find Din’s own behind his mask every time, meet his own. He looks unsure. It’s not something Din ever thought he’d ascribe to Luke Skywalker. “But the process can be...intense. I understand if you don’t want to do it.”
Din flips it over in his mind for a moment, considering. He’s not exactly sure what Luke is asking of him. But what kind of an example would he be if he asked Grogu to do something he refused to? And, looking at Luke, how could Din refuse him anything?
Not that he could ever say that.
Din nods. “‘Course. Show him there’s nothing to be afraid of.”
