He always reassured him when the bakusquad was being mean and insensitive toward him, saying that he wasn't stupid, he just had a learning disability that made things harder for him and that there was nothing to be ashamed of. He made Denki feel like he was important and precious to him.

Scream to the gods themselves for aid knowing that they will not answer you because you are undeserving of their gaze, you will never amount to anything, and you will always be not-quite-good-enough. Would it eat away at you, devouring you from the inside until you no longer knew what the right thing to do was and simply gave up trying to find it in the first place?
