The two just didn't expect to be surprisingly adopted by the local drunkard three times winner best bard, who is actually the God Anemo, who also apparently has an adoption compulsion problem along with a shit ton of trauma and who is actually extremely serious and wears a facade more often than not.

The world is burning.

Decarabian would like to go back to being dead now thanks. And if that incessant bard could stop stalking him every time he’s in mondstadt that would be even better. But somehow, like most, he manages to get caught up in the traveler’s shenanigans anyway.

The sunlight danced in the green of his eyes and porcelain skin practically shimmered from the water droplets that fell from his body. A sort of yearning bubbled in his throat as he watched Venti wade through the river water, eyes fixated on the sun rising over the oak trees. He was an angel. A god. His god. Nothing more. He was falling in love with the boy he promised to save.

Xiao decides to rent an apartment on campus for his second year of college. His roommate is nothing close to the different people he made up in his head. Xiao is a bounty hunter, loyal to Decarabian in return for the safety of his crew and resources to sustain his community of yakshas after 'freeing' him from his old master, trading one nightmare for another. His assignments usually include tracking down traitors or finding the next exotic creature Decarabian wants to show off. The next assignment though is a step above his usual requests and when his feelings get in the way, will he follow through with his assignment, or rebel and risk the safety of himself and his village.

Cecil thought they were all misguided and blinded. And he was right.
