Hizashi would have seen the signs of someone following him. He would have noticed the shadow following his path, would have seen the person in his peripheral, and the soft footsteps would have been picked up by his hearing aids. He might have had a faster reaction time too, and wouldn't have let them use their quirk to get him to comply.
He certainly wouldn’t be trapped here, muzzled and hands bound behind his back, locked in an unknown room only god knows where.
But it wasn't any other day; Hizashi hadn't picked up on the signs.

When Shouta takes a missing persons job from Nedzu as a favor, he expects an actual missing person; instead he finds his mentor has tricked him into taking a vacation in the small, picturesque mountain town of Musutafu.
The town is strange - some of the older residents seem to know him and he often experiences bouts of nostalgia and longing very foreign to him. He can't stop himself from investigating the oddness of Musutafu, determined to uncover what's obviously lurking under the surface. "It will teach them. Are you going soft, Aizawa?" Snipe genuinely asked.
"No, but I rather not end up with a dead kid." He glared, setting the paper down. “How come there’s only 29 on the list?”
“The last hero was caught having ties with The League.” Snipe spoke while taking the list in his own hands again. “So, we had to drop him. No worries though, he's currently in custody.”
“Right.” Aizawa sighed deeply.
