After suffering an attack on the Alliance base that leaves the Alliance Commander, Karberos Hellevuur in dire condition, his chief advisors, Theron Shan and Lana Beniko, do everything in their power to hold him together. His long time romantic partner, Theron, struggles to keep him in one piece. Tumble through a brief history of their long past relationship as he frets for his partner's survival. In his attempts to take Karberos to a place of quiet to recover, his plans are interrupted by their daughter, Therian, and Lana, along with Karb's very loyal remaining crew, Vette and Pierce. The group journey to meet a healer. Unbeknownst to any of them, the very existence of the Force is being threatened by an unseen enemy. The only way to meet it is from beyond the grave.
