Dante saves someone who can’t remember who she is, but she recognizes you as the person she swore to protect. Because of that, you all made her stay in Devil May Cry, intending to help her regain her memories. And because of that, someone distrusts, someone gains another rival, someone finds a BFF and some people fall (one of them even literally) 👀
This fic is for Dante's love story but is still with Vergil and Reader's foolishness and sweetness. It contains a lot of Dante's POV, which will also tell us his side in some past events. There are also playful, slight crossovers/cameos from other universes/fics, as well as some things being explained once and for all.

Being a young woman is hard. Being the older sister to your orphaned younger siblings is hard too. What makes it harder is being an Umbra witch in a dying coven of witches along with your two older mentors. Being haunted by dreams of a winged demon and dealing with an annoying team of demon hunters sucks too. Just wait till you hear about the tree.
The reader is an Umbra witch alongside her "aunts"/ older coven sisters, Circa and Ophelia. She has to juggle the responsibility of hunting angels and raising her sister and two brothers after her mother is killed by demons hunting her coven. Whenever she starts having strange dreams, her life starts turning upside down and right side up as she also accidentally meets a boy while hunting demons. Now she can't seem to shake him, no matter how hard she tries.
((The characters are base heavily on Bayonetta, but the main fic is based in DMC 5 obviously lol))

You are but a simple peasant girl who only wants to join to alleviate the stress and loneliness of your tiring life grueling on a ranch as a farmhand for just one night. The other couple of years you have participated in the Maidens Fair have been fun, but you never once caught the eye of either Sparda sons. Not that you wanted to be noticed by a handsome and elegant devil like King Vergil, right? Nonetheless, you go to this year's Maidens Fair, and you get more than you bargained for, whether that's a good thing or not.
Orphaned because I now think this is cringe and badly written, and I’m too embarrassed to keep it on my profile 😅 If I ever decide to rewrite this in the future, it will have the same title so that those of you who want to read a finished and remade version of this will be able to find it easily!
