Summary
After five years of cat-and-mouse, Solas and his plans went dark. Iveani Lavellan had little else to do in the aftermath but become lost in her loneliness and heartache. The bright young woman that saved the world twice was seemingly gone, in her place a ghost with nothing but haunted dreams to show for all her work. She was content to wither away in Skyhold's dark halls, never to be seen again.
But fate was not satisfied with such an ending for Inquisitor Lavellan.
The Iron Bull and his Chargers are returning to Skyhold. The three Dalish women that join them will change the course of Iveani's life, and perhaps even be the key to tracking down her old friend.

Krem had to hand it to the Orlesians. Tevinter had its own reputation for elegant violence at its parties, but it took no little nerve to keep waltzing over the blood spilled on the marble like it had all been another fine entertainment. An Empress assassinated before their eyes, the Duchess’s lifeless corpse dragged back in by the dishevelled Inquisitor and thrown at the new Emperor Gaspard’s feet, and people were still complaining about the desserts being late.
- Krem goes looking for the Inquisitor at the end of the ball at the Winter Palace, and accidentally discovers her and Solas in a quiet moment.
