Cor goes to check on Prompto. It's been two years since he was last in Insomnia, so the Marshal should check up on a POI like him. Regis and Clarus can stop giving him that Look. While on his (forced) vacation Cor happens to spot the eyes of Prompto's friend "Megumi" and that is absolutely 100% Noctis, who has been missing for six years. What the fuck.
Where Cor is badass, but Megumi has an army at his beck and call. And is far more used to ACTUAL immortals trying to kill him. Cor can just TRY dragging him back to Insomnia.

Ignis is too far away when he sees the events unfolding. He had been keeping the Prince within sight since dinner ended, as difficult as he seemed to enjoy making that, but still, he is too far away. At the very least he can count the fact that Noct no longer makes a game out of slipping away from his Shield as a blessing, because Gladio is where Ignis is not.

Everyone knows that the second stage of puberty is just about the worst thing in the world. Your skin hurts as your scent glands finally kick into gear, your head feels like it's splitting open as your sinuses rapidly (and bloodily) develop the range needed to pick up on other people's scents; it's medically considered the highest amount of pain most healthy people feel in their lives.
For 17 year old Prince Noctis, however, it's Saturday morning, he just woke up with some sort of head cold, and he has training with his shield to get through.
Gladio is about to learn a lot about his friend’s pain tolerance, and that the attitude of ‘your parents will cover the details privately’ his tutor group had about sex ed was not the least bit adequate.

It’s not any easier. It’s harder. It’s worse. Noctis feels for that magic again, to let it build and swirl and flow, he tries to breathe it in and swallow it down and be one with it. It’s in his veins, in his head, in his heart, he was born with it, and so it should come to him as naturally as breathing.
He tries to push it through Ignis, from his own fingertips and into the warm skin in his grasp, the way he had with Gladio. It hurts to even try, it steals his breath away. And nothing happens.

Cor thinks it over as they make a complete set of the footwork, trying to spare enough attention to ensure he’s not coming anywhere close to crushing any toes beneath his own.
“They’re not letting you outside,” Cor guesses.

Cor kind of just wants to punch Clarus.
