Summary
Lara Croft is an average University student who has dealt with too much. Rent, tuition, studies, friendship drama, and an uncle who refuses to hand over custody of her home and wealth after her father's death and mother's disappearance.
In other words, the usual.
But her life is about to get a lot more complicated. Characters and events from one of her favorite series have turned out to be real. What's worse, some of them have their sights set directly on her. Sauron is rising after millennia of silently watching and influencing from the shadows. Now he has discovered her as the last untouched scion of the noble bloodline that defeated him four ages ago, he will stop at nothing until she is out of his way, whether through corruption or death.
Even worse than that, his cult has taken Lara's best friend Sam, and is now searching for the sword that had once crippled him.
Now it's up to Lara and a band of allies to race against Sauron and his cult to rescue Sam and retrieve Anduril. Along the way, she must come to terms with her father's legacy, sort through her feelings for her friends, and confront a sinister young man who is more than he seems.
Yet the Shadow might claim her still.

He was tiny — he was *six* — with a mop of bright brown hair that reminded her of Atlas instead of her mother, but he had her mother's chin, and her nose, and his eyes had been a bright orange with tints of yellow and brown. Like a multicolored amber. Quick to cling onto her when she had shown up, something she came to understand was because she looked strikingly like Sawada Nana had — who, in Lara's opinion, looked more like Lara's mother if she'd been half-Japanese.
Tsunayoshi's not quite her nephew, not quite her son, but biologically her half-cousin. She never— She *will* never come to regret taking him in.
Now he's nineteen, spearheading his own 'adventure' based off an old Mafia myth Trinity had once been interested in. She'd be proud of him, if they hadn't attracted troublemakers worse than her kid.

She commanded an army of Samurai warriors, her magnificent Stormguard. They rode the very winds into battle, laying waste to all who opposed them. They say the sun rose at Himiko's command and she ruled everything its rays touched, from the mountains to the sea and beyond. But suddenly she, her people, and Yamati just disappeared. On the trip their ship Endurance they're travelling on got into a storm and Lara and her friends become stranded with vicious men, grotesque monsters and wild weather, Lara must save her friends and survive, if she doesn't survive, none of her friends will.
