Soft taps and murmurs were cut short, the first Peridot freezing mid-sentence with one hand raised to her screen. “Apologies, Your Radiance, I had not realised you have already recovered your mental capacities. You are at White Diamond’s personal research facility,” she rushed to say with a salute, a Diamond salute.
Did I accidentally possess someone again? he thought, looking down at himself, and frowned. It was him, down to his body and clothes. Except, he then belatedly realised: it was pink, everything, his shirt, jeans, sandals—even his skin was a light pink, more subtle in its opalescence.
“Why do I look like this?”
“It appears your form is mimicking the orga—“
“Why am I pink?”
“Oh.” Finally, the Peridot resumed her work, once more typing something on her screen. “Despite being awake, the subject still appears to be confused."[In which I wrote my own version of the trial]

Kidnapped and taken to Homeworld, put on trial as the Rose Quartz, rebel, criminal, murderer. Could things get any worse? Probably. Could they get any better? Maybe.
The trial was a disaster. His lawyer had clearly been set up, the poor Zircon forced to defend him and terrified of her own potential shattering the entire time. At least Lars was okay, even if he was stuck sitting on the cold floor with a bubble around his head. It seemed as though he wouldn’t get the chance to say anything, to truly defend himself when Yellow Diamond claps her hands together, cheerily calling for his execution. That is until Blue Diamond decides she wants to hear what happened directly from him. She wants to know how his mom, how he shattered Pink Diamond.
He stands on the raised platform, fiddling with his fingers, nervous under the scrutiny of the two massive women. He can’t do this. He can’t pretend to be her, he doesn’t want to. He doesn’t want to take her punishment, he doesn’t want to die.

After three years of drifting around to find himself, Steven comes back to give independent living in Little Homeworld a try, seeing if he can't be the master of his own destiny and have his family nearby. A couple of years later, Steven notices something odd, previously sexless gems are walking around with breasts that test the limits of possibility and have figures to match. It's also, not only the gems. Steven also seems to be almost the only person to have noticed the changes and by the time he'd realised, the alterations had become part of everyday life, not worth raising a fuss about.
After another two years in this strange, sexy wonderland that was his childhood hometown, Steven has all but totally come to peace with the changes around him and he is ready to lend a hand to his old, altered friends in any way he can. As it happens, Peridot has been looking into less destructive alternatives to kindergartening, and with the recent changes wrought to gemkind, Steven could well be of assistance. -
