Summary
Torgal yips and suddenly latches his teeth onto Clive’s boot. His bite is weak, his teeth not even breaking through the leather. Clive can barely even feel the bite, only realises what’s happening when he tries to move and drags Torgal’s weight with him, Torgal snarling through a mouthful of leather. He could quite easily shake him off if he wanted to, could race out of the keep atop Ambrosia and leave Torgal behind with everyone else. He almost wants to.
The thought of shaking him off suddenly makes him feel very sick. Leaving him behind here would be cruel.
Clive is not the only one who’s unwanted.

He forces himself out of the cell and up the stairs.
Torgal is waiting at the top.
He's laid a short way back, his head atop his paws and his eyes fixed on the entrance to the gaol. He’s obviously been laid there waiting for Clive to emerge as he lifts his head as soon as Clive appears. He barks, and pushes himself into a sitting position, mouth open in a smile and his tongue lolling out.
It's a balm to Clive’s shredded soul, and he feels a small smile tugging at his face despite himself.

If you do, this will be both confusing to read and SUPER SPOILERY!!After finishing the game for the first time I had a few thoughts about alternate ways the story and characters' fates could've concluded, so I collected and analyzed the lore/codex/etc, even going so far as to replaying the entire game again to ensure the accuracy of my ideas. Thus was born the screenplay I now share with you here. It came to life as a screenplay because as I was envisioning how it would play out, I saw it in my mind as actual gameplay and wanted to relay it in such a way that it could possibly be seen as a concept idea that was left on the cutting room floor.

“Hey Clive, can you hear me?” Someone asked, but he had no idea to whom the voice belonged. It was familiar without a doubt, invoking a sense of trust and warmth, yet his mind felt fuzzy and refused to connect the voice to a face,
Clive only groaned in response, the only sound he was capable of producing at the moment. From somewhere he heard a low whine, another noise that he was awfully accustomed to, but the owner remained a mystery to him. He could only tell that at least two different people were around him.
He felt like he was hit by a rampaging Behemoth because his whole body was aching like hell, so maybe the fuzziness of his brain came from that? Maybe, but that rose the question of what madness drove him to face a Behemoth in the first place. Whatever the reason, it didn't go well from what he could grasp.
